Junior middle school students are experiencing physical and mentalchanges,these changes make their inner world filled with contradictionand conflict, which inevitably reflected in their spiritual needs. Thisarticle begins with the spiritual of junior middle school students,through the questionnaire survey, analysis some key problems ofstudents’ spiritual needs. Combining with the present situationreflected from the questionnaire, proposes the practical and feasiblecountermeasures, in order to create a harmonious campus, promote theschool education for all-around development.This paper consists of five parts: the first part of introduction.First, raise question, starting from the concept of spiritual needs, sortthe basic situation of students’ spiritual needs. The second part oftheoretical basis. Based on the literature review, arrange the historicaldevelopment and theory of the spiritual needs, study the characteristicsof the psychological development of middle junior school students. Thethird part of research methods and steps. On the basic of theoretical study,test junior middle school students. The fourth part of survey and analysis.Detailed analysis the current situation and features of junior schoolstudents’ spiritual needs. The fifth part of conclusion and suggestions.Based on the current situation and questions reflected from questionnaire,give some effective suggestions.Research object and method:Using the self-made questionnaire, test568students from Antu countyNO.3middle school. Subjects are asked to arrange them from strong to weak. All questions are using five scoring method: no (1points), need weakly(2points), uncertain (3points), need strongly (4points), needparticularly strong (5points).The conclusion of the study:1. The strength of middle school students’spiritual needs is not inbalance. Junior middle school students’ spiritual needs from strong toweak are: love and belonging need, followed by esteem need,self-actualization need, the weakest is safety need.2. According to its important degree from high to low,junior middleschool students’spiritual needs are as follows: achievement need,self-esteem and independent need, communication need, understanding need,knowledge need, love need, help need, safety and order need, belongingnessneed, beauty need,avoid harm need, avoid shame need, friendship need,reduce study pressure need, show ego need and power need.3. Boys and girls have no significant difference in dominant needs.In non dominant needs boys are avoid shame, girls are friendship.4. Three grades students’dominant needs are basically in the same,grade one students focus more on love, grade two and three students onunderstanding. In non dominant needs, grade one focus on avoid shame,grade two on friendship, grade three on beauty.5. Only child and non only child are different at understanding andknowledge in dominant needs. In non dominant needs, different atfriendship and avoid shame, others are consistent.
