Research purposes: in the modern society with intense international competition, all the countries pay much attention to the cultivation of talents, especially to thecultivation of university graduates. In the new century, these cutting-edged talentswith well education have already become an important force in promoting economicdevelopment and social progress. In particular, with the rapid development ofeconomy and technology, today the top students should take the responsibility for thelong-term national development strategy, shouldering a greater mission and hope. Ifthey want to take this responsibility, the top students should acquire higherrequirements for themselves. Thus, their physical condition and life quality havebecome the public concerns. As is known to all, the physical health condition of our college students andgraduates is not that optimistic. The graduates are under great pressure. Firstly, thereis academic pressure; secondly, there is pressure from life and work; thirdly, they arefaced with social responsibility and so on and so forth. All of these issues make thetalents constantly be in a state of high tension, which has a bad impact on thestudents’ health both physically and spiritually. Among the many health issues, sleepis one of the hot issues on which people focus. The reports in recent years haveshowed that the graduates are faced with a decline in sleep quality⑴, but how toimprove the sleep quality of the graduates? We make an attempt to explore the effectand mechanism of the over exercise on sleep quality by means of movement.Research method: An investigation is made to200male graduates of JilinUniversity by adopting reference material, expert interview, questionnaire andphysical exercise rating scale screening, we filter the people with poor sleep qualityincluding the ones with low class of physical activity as experimental subjects. Thesubjects are divided into large, medium and small three-load groups and control groupwithout the exercise load at random, each group with ten members. A graded load exercise intervention is done to the experimental subjects through experimental testmethod, and mathematical statistics and logical analysis are made to the experimentaldata by means of SPSS statistical software and Excel2003worksheet.According to the research results, among the200male graduates of JilinUniversity, there is19.2%of them with good sleep quality; the graduates withmedium-graded sleep quality account for40.4%;40.4%of the graduates are facedwith poor sleep quality. Besides,75%of the graduates will take more than30minutesin order to fall asleep. The graduates with large exercise load account for2.5%,85.9%with smallexercise load and11.6%with moderate exercise load. The analysis of sleep factorbefore and after experiment shows that the large and medium load groups have ahighly significant difference, but the small load and the control groups are notsignificantly different. A correlated analysis of exercise load and ear temperature ismade, r=0.931, two-sided test results P=0.000<0.01. Ear temperature goes up withthe increase of exercise load. The difference of the control group and the small loadgroups is not significant, but highly significant difference appears in large andmedium load groups. There is significant difference between the small load group andthe large and medium load groups; no significant difference exists between the largeload group and the medium load group. The large load exercise makes eartemperature rise by an average of about2degrees and medium load exercise risingabout1.5degrees.Research conclusion:(1) The survey shows that among the investigated subjects, the male graduates of Jilin University with poor sleep quality account for40.4%, andthere is85.9%of the graduates who only do exercise of small load, which means thatthe male graduates of Jilin University generally lack physical exercise with ratherlittle movement and very poor sleep quality.(2) According to the experiment,over-load exercise can affect sleep quality. The large and medium load exercise cansignificantly improve the sleep quality(P=<0.01). The small load exercise does nothave significant impact on the sleep quality. Maybe because the exercise does notreach a certain amount of stimulation, so it can not generate stress response to the body.(3)In this experimental research, exercise makes ear temperature risesimultaneously. The ear temperature will go up with the increase of exercise load, andit has a positive correlation with the size of the exercise load within a certain range. The ear temperature tends to go up after six minutes’ exercise.(4) Relationshipbetween ear temperature and sleep: the rise of ear temperature will improve sleepquality in a certain scope. The ear temperature with exercise goes up constantly andsteadily and keeps in an appropriate range, which will improve the sleep quality. Theexercise with small load has no significant influence on the increase of eartemperature and sleep quality.
