A Research On Social Workers’ Involvement In Dropout Problem Of Rural Teenagers

Nowadays teenages drop out problem earn lots of social attention.It is a tough problem which to restrict the popularizeing of Nine years of compulsory education.However,the teenages drop out rate remains high. It becomes a common phenomenon instead of specific situations in certain area in China’s rural education and brings negative effect to our society.Teenages drop out problem not only a waste of education resources but also influencing the realization of quality education;not only increase social unrest element but also restricting the development of rural economy in some degree;not only influencing the development of socialist new rural construction but will also affect the entire modernization.With the help of some concerete methods such as investigations、visits and conversations and the research of literature,this paper aims to get some conclusions on how the social workers to interfere in drop out problems of rural teenagers in Hepo Town,Jiexi County,Guangzhou province.By materials covering and analyse,the thesis concludes four issues should be considered by social workers as follow.Firstly, a plan must be offered to help drop out teenagers positively. Secondly,professional counseling should be provide.Thirdly,social workers have to expand intervention level and optimise service plan.Finally,if the social workers think they get the expected effect then they can finish the case and tracking their service in the future. What’s more,there are two ethics problems must be take into consider in the course of interference.First of all,how to avoid showing the poors?In the second place,how to deal with contradiction between the limited knowledge of client and client self-determination.It is urgent to find out the solution of rural teenages’problem. So i hope this research can provide some enlightenments of the continually study in this problem.
