Value clarification theory is a kind of teaching method of moral education in the west,to the process of forming the value, through analysis and evaluation means, to help peoplereduce the confusion of values for the same values formation, and in the process toeffectively develop students’ thinking and understanding of human values of ability. Itadvocated values formation is not instill but through clarification method, in the evaluationprocess to achieve, through selection, praise and practice to promote a sense of valuechoice.Along with our country to speed up the process of internationalization, the rapideconomic development, China’s education is facing the new challenge, a lot of the part to beimproved are put on the bill, for scholars and experts to study. Value Clarification Theory inChinese education and teaching in the field of application is a new way of teachingreference. High school students facing the ideological and political course and traditionalteaching methods, already feel tired and boring, caused the interest of students in learning toreduce, active learning is not strong, innovative thinking and the subjective consciousnessof the weak. In the theory of value clarification application in Ideological and politicalteaching process, students can play free consciousness to change the previous fixed teachingmode, improving self learning enthusiasm and initiative, improve their own learning anddevelopment capacity, improve the innovative thinking and innovative consciousness, tostrengthen self outlook on life and value is correct set with perfect, in the high school stage to establish an effective learning method.In this article the author mainly studies the use of the theory of value clarification toimprove high school students’ Ideological and political education strategy: encouragingstudents to choose the values and put into practice so that students form their own choice ofvalue consciousness; to establish and perfect the value clarification theory system, thesystem include: the establishment and improvement of the value clarification schoolinstruction method, establish and improve the campus cultural construction managementmechanism, establish teachers value clarification of quick response system. At the sametime, strengthen high value clarification and moral construction emphasis on moralcognition, improve the actual effect of the theory of value clarification, improve thestudents’ moral judgment and choice ability, so that students will be able to valueclarification theory combined with live, guide the students to value clarification theory inhigh school ideological and political education innovation thinking.Using the theory of value clarification in high school thought political lesson teaching,can improve our country high school ideological and political course teachingdiversification, improve students’ value idea transformation, in-depth reflection on thestudents’ self values shape form and direction, make teaching more democracy and freedom,so that the ideological and political education no longer boring. The study can also improveour engaged in politics teaching the teachers’ quality, let the teachers from the students’inner psychological activities and self concept again consider activity of thought guidanceand value idea to establish direction, strengthening the teachers and students tocommunicate, make classroom teaching more effective.
