The rapid development of science and technology is the era of the knowledge economy, a lot ofnew technology, new knowledge, new theory to penetrate to the geographical education field. Therefore, aone-time higher education obviously can’t adapt to the geographical professional and meet the long-termgeography teaching needs. The geography teacher to receive continued education, promote geographyteachers’ personal development way. The new view on teachers think, and the specialization of teachers is adynamic change process, because teachers is ever-changing individual, teachers in teaching is throughcontinuous learning and trying to achieve the teaching task, self professional quality, and constantlygenerate new education process of wisdom. The strengthening of teachers’ professional education as thestarting point and continue to final destination, on continue to education, set up the consciousness of selfdevelopment teachers, so as to realize the sustainable development of the teachers. Therefore, theimprovement of teachers’ teaching ability, knowledge and education conception update has not continue toeducation simply pursuit of the objectives and tasks, and maximum arouse teachers’ potential and creative,maximum limit for teachers to play self belief and wisdom, active in the teaching to explore found thatgenerate a new wisdom, to promote teachers’ all-round development of the higher education be continue topursue goal. The new curriculumstandard show many innovation and breakthrough, the necessary for geography teacher put forward higherrequest. In order to solve this problem, it needs to geographical teachers to change the traditional ideas,constantly added its own knowledge system, so as to ensure the implementation of the new curriculum.Based on the high school geography teachers in henan province as the research object, theliterature material law questionnaire interviews logic for scientific research of comparative analysis method,this paper expounds the theoretical basis of the research, and summarized the teacher continuing educationat home and abroad and the present situation and development trends of this paper research related conceptcan be defined, by investigating high school geography teachers in henan province, the overall structurecharacteristics and the status of teachers education to continue the expectations, and puts forward the henanprovince high school geography teacher continue to promote education countermeasures in view of the current henan province high school geography teacher education to continue the current situation andexisting problems, and put forward the following Suggestions: by increasing investment, pledged to theimplementation of the education; To strengthen management, improve education to continue trainingefficiency; Innovation training mode, improving teachers’ enthusiasm; Reform teacher evaluation system.This research concludes that most of the teachers have to continue education training, continue toeducation content form basic reasonable, but some education mode and content and the teacher’sexpectation there exists difference; On the whole the structure of the teachers basic reasonable; Mostteachers think in educational knowledge skills have a lack of knowledge; Most of the schools are set tocontinue education related policy laws and regulations system, but a lot of schools are not in place;Continue to education evaluation mechanism and supervision system is not perfected.The innovation of this paper is to through high school geography teachers in henan province tocontinue education different aspects, different levels of investigation and study, the rich and perfect teachercontinuing education system of research. This paper will continue to education geographical teachers of thecurrent situation and the teacher’s expectation, and the combination of education from the time involvedcontinue to arrange, course content, education method, evaluation method, and other aspects of the teachercontinuing education discussed development strategy. On topic research by using the method of literatureand questionnaire survey method of strategy, pay attention to the application value of the countermeasures.This article through to a line from the expectations of the geography teachers based on practice, the designquestionnaire topic, geographical teachers to continue to study education’s expectations, and then in henanprovince high school geography teachers education to continue the present situation, proposes the accordwith the teacher’s expectation and feasible countermeasures. From this perspective, proposed thecountermeasures is more practical significance.
