Entering the21st century, great changes have taken place in society, high-tech large-scale, theglobalization of knowledge economy and international competition intensifying, make people’s educationideas, profound changes have taken place. Modern education to teach the knowledge, skills, anunprecedented expansion, the rapid development of science and technology and productivity for thepersonnel training quality and efficiency are also put forward higher requirements. Of the current basiceducation curriculum reform of primary and secondary school teachers professional accomplishment andknowledge structure puts forward the big challenge. Is the aim of the new curriculum reform requiresteachers to have higher cultural quality, professional level and to carry out the education scientific researchability and guide the work ability of students. Specifically, there are the following: first of all, it requiresteachers to love education career and love the young students and fight for the dedication and good scienceand culture knowledge level. These are as teachers can "model" and the premise and foundation ofcommitment to the society. Second, requires teachers must have a good grasp of work in the education ofvarious techniques, skills and abilities, such as teaching ability, education management ability, organizingability, language ability, innovation ability and self reflection ability, etc. How to adapt to the new situation,and further improve the education quality of teaching, improve teachers’ literacy level is the current urgenttask.To understand the present situation of the junior high school geography teachers in Henan province, inthis article, through reading a large number of literature material, questionnaire statistical analysis and othermeans of empirical research, get first-hand information about junior middle school geography teachers’accomplishment in Henan province, based on the structure of the junior high school geography teachers in,literacy status quo and the existing problems in detail the objective description and analysis, finally putforward to cultivate junior middle school geography teachers literacy strategy and approach.After a study found that junior high school geography teachers in Henan province there exist certainproblems in ethics; In the aspect of professional knowledge and ability, school geography teacher’steaching ability in Henan province quality is good, can meet the needs of the junior middle schoolgeography teaching. Problems mainly concentrated in the following way:the performance is not balancedbetween literacy, such as geography teachers’ professional knowledge is solid, but is lack of comprehensiveknowledge; Lack of modern advanced education idea and education theory knowledge; Knowledgestructure of older, difficult to adapt to the needs of the new curriculum reform; Use computer and othermodern information technology education means the ability of the poor, from the teachers’ ability ofinformation literacy status quo investigation we can found the problem is that for most of the junior middleschool geography teachers in Henan province, the basic technology of information literacy is no longer a major obstacle, but how will have to master the basic technical operation applied to teaching practice.Because of the informatization instructional design, especially the information technology teaching practice,or junior high school geography teacher’s weak link;At the same time, reflection ability and educationscientific research ability is also the most of weak link in junior middle school geography teachers abilityliteracy.In view of the current junior high school geography teachers in Henan province quality presentsituation and the existing problems, and put forward the following optimization strategy: the governmentshould increase investment in education, improving teachers’ social status and economic benefits; Tostrengthen the construction of teachers’ professional ethics and enhance the level of teachers’ moralaccomplishment; Optimizing knowledge, cultivating ability, strengthen teachers’ continuing educationtraining, realize the integration of teacher education.In this paper innovation place mainly has the following points, first of all, is not only the mostpopulous province of Henan province, is also a big education province, and the current research aboutteachers’ accomplishment in Henan province is very few, this article to a certain extent, make up for theblank in the research of teachers’ accomplishment in Henan province. Second, enrich the research methods.This paper adopts the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, Through the literature,topic selection and production, a questionnaire is determined, by use of Excel, SPSS17.0statisticalsoftware, the statistical analysis of survey data and made into charts, come to Henan province the presentsituation of the junior high school geography teacher quality, for more in-depth teacher literacy theoryresearch can provide data.
