Learning burnout is a psychologist research focus areas, which reflects the negative learning psychology of the students and matters directly to the students’learning quality. The domestic researchers focus on the college and the middle school student, therefore, this study will be the primary student as the research object and learn more about the existence of the phenomenon of learning burnout in primary school. Learning burnout is a negative state, mainly refers to the learner of low learning initiative, poor persistence, lack of learning motivation, low learning personal accomplishment, or even want to give up learning in the learning process. In this research, learning burnout is defined as:students have a negative state of low self-fulfillment and the depression, and make some inappropriate escape learning behavior, this state is called learning burnout.Primary is the critical period of learning interest and behavioral training.Learning burnout as a negative state,affect students’mental health and reduce the learning efficiency. It improve students’self-esteem level, reduce the learning burnout, improve learning efficiency and improve the mental health by studying the relationship between burnout and self-esteem.Using Likert scale designing techniques, this study designs a learning burnout questionnaire for primary students, which is used in a survey of the status of learning burnout among primary school in Tianjin, and further analyzes the relationship between learning burnout and self-esteem. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)A single dimension learning burnout questionnaire for primary school students is designed, with a total of21questions scored by Likert5-point. The result of survey indicates that the questionnaire has satisfactory psychometrics characters, including good reliability and validity;(2)There are significant grade differences in primary student learning burnout;(3)Primary student self-esteem score is lower than the theoretical value;(4)The students of different self-esteem level have significant differences in the learning burnout;(5)Primary students’learning burnout is significantly positive correlate with self-esteem.According to the research conclussions, the study of improving students’level of self-esteem, decreased from learning burnout etc, put forward to strengthen the students’education on psychological health advices, separately from the school,teachers,parents of the three angle, discussed in detail every aspect of specific measures.
