This articler regards teenagers in villages-in-city as the research object, and takes the X-Community in shenzhen-----a typical villages-in-city community as an example, explored the negative impacts of the teenagers in villages-in-city living in poverty, to their physical、psychological and social development, because a multiple of needs are not met, they fell into a state of " relative deprivation", and tried to use methods of social work profession to relieve or resolve the problems caused by poverty.This paper analyzes the methods and levels of social work intervention with some cases, Summarizes the valuable experiences in the case of providing services for the teenagers by using social work methods.The following Part is the basic framework of this thesis.The first part is the introduction. Based on the background, it firstly shows the significance of this study; Following domestic and international review about urban poverty teenagers, and shows the necessity of this study; Then, core concepts of this study were defined; Finally, the study methods of this thesis have been introuduced. it uses field observation interview、questionnaire survey and documentary research.The second part briefly introduces the status of the X-Community. Consists of two parts:the first is the overall condition of the X-Community; the second briefly describes the composition of the teenagers of this community.The third part describes the various effects of poverty to the teenagers in X-community. including the following five aspects. Firstly, the negative effects of poverty to the teenagers’physical and psychological status, especially the impact of psychological, such as inferiority、self-enclosed; Secondly, family economic pressure on parent-child relationships tend to be diluted, cold; thirdly, the problem of eliminate right of the teenagers in villages-in-city in education, high dropout rates, low quality of education; Fourth, family poverty led to the social interaction of the teenagers in villages-in-city being excluded; Lastly, material poverty led to the teenagers’mental poverty, they do not have lofty ambitions and easy to follow the footsteps of their parents, trapped in a "vicious cycle"; In conclusion, poverty is easy for teenagers in villages-in-city to form the wrong outlook on life, values, worldview, and in serious cases, lead to the generation of crime.The fourth part introduces the social work intervention for the teenagers in villages-in-city. First, the necessity and feasibility of social work intervention; Second, the methods and levels of social work intervention, it based on the empirical case studies that the author participated in the X-Community. And then the valuable experiences in the case of providing services for the teenagers by using social work methods.Last, briefly discusses the importance of social work research.The fifth part is the conclusion and reflection. The author put forward several prospects on the basis of the Summary of the study, and explains briefly the limitation of this study.
