Network Platform Design And Implementation Of The Graduate Student Academic Literacy Cultivation

The purpose of graduate education is cultivating high-level creative talents. Education quality and academic level of post-graduate directly affect China’s future international competitiveness. With the enlargement of the scale of postgraduate education, the problem of low graduate academic literacy receives social more and more universal attention. There problems including narrow knowledge, lacks of awareness of innovation, insufficient practice capacity, shallow awareness of academic norms have become apparent in recent years. In the information society today, the rapid development of the network technology in the field of higher education is continuously penetration, and with its convenient service function and advanced technology lead to the change of patterns and process of higher education. It expands the postgraduate training mechanism. How to use the advanced network technology and rich cyber resource to improve postgraduate academic literacy and further perfect graduate training system as educators should focus.The research has been carried out from theory and practice. In theory, we defined the academic literacy related concepts after reviewed the relevant information using the literature methods, and summarized the characteristics about the postgraduate academic literacy and our country’s existing postgraduate cultivation environment. Then it proposes graduate academic literacy cultivation measures under the network environment, providing the basis for the next part of the platform design and construction. In practice, we finished the design and implementation of the graduate academic literacy training network platform. The platform was determined five functions:the academic trends, learning support module, resources sharing module, academic communication module and system management module.The characteristics of this study is try to use network tools to improve postgraduates’ academic literacy and academic ability, expand the postgraduate education channels. Development and application of platform will improve the system of cultivation of graduate, and promote the research of cultivation of graduate academic literacy under network environment.Paper consists of six parts:Part1, it expounded the background and significance of this subject research. Part2, it defines the postgraduate academic literacy in four aspects:academic consciousness, academic knowledge, academic ability and academic ethics. It has potential, accumulation, stability, sensitivity, practical and comprehensive characteristics. The third Part finished the demand analysis and overall design about graduate academic literacy training network platform. Part4detailed design of the platform function module, database and safety. Part5introduced the development environment and key technologies, then completed and tested the platform typical module. Part6summarizes and prospects the research work.
