By using the concise language and succulent structure, modern poems convey poets’ idea and feelings. Phase in comparison with classical poetry, modern poetry in the form of a little something bound, among the content is more deep and broad, and its expression is more constrained and diverse, so will allow more people to accept and imitate the creation of. Some free poetry, has had a huge social impact in the youth groups in the1980s. However, in today’s society young people read and write poetry, and high school language teaching re the status of modern poetry in an awkward position, which is a pity.This paper from the modern poetry teaching and textbook design and meticulous analysis, to launch a series of in Shanghai, Beijing high school students for the questionnaire as a supplement, analysis of modern poetry appreciation teaching, advantages and disadvantages and reform direction and modern poetry for students to study, according to several representative the poetry to expand the teaching case analysis and demonstration, to explore for high school students to find their own interest in learning, and can grasp well poetry teaching approach, but also for high school language teachers in the teaching of modern poetry of the operational level to provide a certain reference.
