Recently, class teachers’professionalization has become the important trend of social development. Class teachers are the professional workers with thoeries, ethics and skills, and class teacher is a professional post that cann’t be placed. A qualified class teacher must cultivate a firm professional affection and grasp systematic professional knowledge and proficient skills through special training. There is no doubt that the class teachers’training is one of the important approachs to promote the development of class teachers’professionalization.However, although class teachers’training is flourishing recently, class teachers’ quality cann’t meet the requirements of unceasing deepening quality education and the society. The reason of which is that the traditional teaching method cann’t serve the massive class teachers’ training and meet the need of class teachers’ability well. The request to enhance class teachers’level and the shortage of traditional training call us to innovate training method, and case teaching method is an effective method fit for class teachers’training.Case teaching method is a method full of inspiration and practicalness, which makes use of adult’s ability of strong logical thinking and problem-solving. By leading the learners to discuss the representative case and study the problems, the teacher helps learners to think out the solutions. In a word, case teaching method looks at practical problem-solving. Case teaching method stress that learners are the main bodies of the classroom learning, working as active participants, positive explorers and analysists, and the teacher only works as a guider, edifier and facilitator, which fully affirm the independent personality of the learners and effectively stimulate the learners’interests.This article probes into the application of case teaching method in the training of primary backbone class teachers, based on the primary backbone class teachers’training, the Adult Education Theoriy, the Constructivism Learning Theory and the Humanism Theory as well as the author’s practice experience of holding the post of the class teacher in class teachers’training. By doing a questionaire survey on learners, an interview on teachers and summarizing some materials, such as learners’feedback information, learners’brief summaries and learners’cases and etc, the author analyses the effect of the application of case teaching method in the training of primary backbone class teachers. It helps the author to further rethink the problems of the application of case teaching method in the training of primary backbone class teachers and put forward solutions, which is to provide some effective suggestions for the development of the training of primary backbone class teachers in future.There is a lot of value of the application of case teaching method in the training of primary backbone class teachers. The first one is demonstrative value, including the revolution of traditional training method and teaching ideas and the innovation of teaching materials culture and curriculum culture. The second one is subjective value, containing to stimulate learners’academic motivation and the interest, to develop learners’specialties and advantages, to promote learners’ professional dignity and to cultivate learners’ communicative competence, cooperative spirit and self-reflective consciousness. The third one is generative value, consisting of strengthening combining theory with practice, enhancing comprehensive interaction and generating multiple ideas.There are three steps of the application of case teaching method in the training of primary backbone class teachers, which are preparation period, implemention period and feedback period.The study of" the effect of the application of case teaching method in the training of primary backbone class teachers" shows that the learners and the teachers recognize highly of the case teaching method, because it is not only fit for the training of primary backbone class teachers, but also plays an important role in promoting the effect and quality of the training of primary backbone class teachers.
