Through questionnaires, analyses of practical cases and documents, this researchdeals with many urgent problems in the teaching process of Chinese Literature reading inSenior High School, ranging from goal-setting, teaching procedures to the evaluation ofteaching, upon which the idea of “optimizing the teaching process of Chinese Literaturereading in Senior High School” is based. At first, the research focuses on the analysis ofthe problems and reasons of the lack of teaching goals, according to which the suggestionof how to set proper teaching goals and how to express the goal in a scientific way is putforward. Then, the writer point out that in the teaching process, original and creativemethods should be applied to the introduction to the class, and that all the teaching processmust be closely related to the text proper with simplified materials. The writer maintainsthe intensive reading must focus on the text, and the teacher should direct students timelyand properly, allowing students to read and understand the text in their own way. Extensivereading should be carried out based on the teaching goals, and the extent and quantityshould be guided. The teaching process should focus on the teaching goals, and the teachershould design how to use the blackboard, assign proper homework and make feedbackdocuments. Considering the problems of formality of teaching evaluation, unscientificmethods, neglect of the objective and utility of the results, the suggestion of evaluatingteachers according to their preparations before the class, process of the class and the effectsof the class is raised. Besides, students should also be evaluated through their attitudes,participation and acquisition.
