In2010, National Platform for Long-term Educational Reform and Development Planpoints out that by2020the one-year preschool education and two-year preschool educationwill be popularized and basically popularized respectively, and three-year preschool educationwill be popularized in the conditional areas; preschool education development should bebrought under a plan for construction of cities and socialist new countryside. A large numberof qualified preschool teachers will be needed to meet the popularization of preschooleducation. As an important subject, music plays an important role in preschool educationwhich is the cradled of preschool teachers training. The professional and cultural quality ofmusic teachers in preschool education affect not only the students in school but the preschooleducation of China indirectly, even affect entire national quality. In the current period, it issignificant to change the concept of preschool education music teachers, improve theireducation abilities, professional qualities and their professionalism.This study took a questionnaire survey among80preschool education music teachers ofWeifang Preschool and Special Educational Teachers’ College of Weifang University andWeifang Vocational College. It surveys and analyzes three aspects of music teachers’professional ethics, professional quality, professional development and innovation. It drawsthe following conclusions:1.15%of the participants believe that preschool music teacher’s professional ethics is"ordinary" or "poor", and their professional ethics education should be strengthened.2.25%of the participants think that the professional quality is "ordinary" or "poor", andtheir professional training and level should be promoted..3.50%of the participants believe that professional development and innovation ofpreschool education teachers is "ordinary" or "poor", and are keen to improve and developcontinuously.4.50%of the participants don’t understand the information on the computer creatingmusic;26%of them can’t meet the need for making multimedia courseware;15%are unskillful with multimedia teaching, which need specialized training.5.46.25%of the participants intend to pursue advanced study on diploma or degree, andexpect funding and policy support from their colleges.6.38.5%of the participants wish to be provided training on educational research,research paper writing, and improve research capacity.7.28%of the participants believe that their understanding on the basic education newcourse standard is not sufficient, which hinders their cultivation on preschool teachers.8.25%of them wish to participate in training on early childhood education, mentalhealth, and improve professional quality.According to the results, the study proposed strategies in3aspects of strengtheningmusic teachers’ moral quality, professional quality, professional development and innovation.
