People often say that the teenagers are like the sun at eight or nine o’clock in themorning, while the children are just like the sun of tomorrow. Therefore, the education ofyoung children is primary and principal. It is honorable to be engaged in the early childhoodeducation profession and teachers in kindergarten are respected in the society. Theresponsibility of a qualified teacher engaged in the early childhood education can not beignored and the task is arduous and a challenge, due to the following two reasons. First, theteachers in kindergartens not only care about the children’s education but also look after theyoung children’s daily life, which makes the preschools quite different from those otherordinary schools. Thus, the teachers have double duties as a nurse and an educator. Second,the young children in their childhood have strong ability to imitate, have pure heart and theircharacter is susceptible. These characteristics have determined the importance of earlychildhood teacher’s training on children’s capabilities. Therefore, comprehensive andexcellent professional qualities are essential for early childhood teachers.At present, China is in the period of great and rapid transformation. The confusion andthe lack of moral order in the society during this special period have brought great influenceto the whole social life and especially have affected directly the daily life of the public.Some kindergarten teachers’ lack of love and their low moral quality have caused badeffects on the society and also hurt the children physically and mentally. So it is an urgenttask to develop the moral quality of kindergarten teachers.This thesis focuses on the study of moral education of the secondary vocational schoolstudents who major in preschool education. The purpose of this study is to search for not onlythe causes of the students’ lack of morality but also the educational strategies, to improvetheir moral qualities, and to train the students to be qualified kindergarten teachers with highmorality. This will help to form the students’ good characters and personalities and to raisetheir level of professional morality. It also will provide a reference for teachers’ moralconstruction of the kindergarten normal school in the new period of education.Preschool education is the most basic education. If we want the children to be qualifiedpersons in the future, we must first train a special team of well-educated and qualifiedkindergarten teachers. So we should take the moral education of the secondary vocational school students majoring in preschool education seriously.
