Reading activity is a senior thinking process that middle school students create again andprocess deeply;it’s not only the necessary way and effective method for students to getinformation, knowledge and improve the ability of reading,but also the safeguard forstudents to open their minds, cultivate one’s taste, broaden their eyesight, sublimate theirthoughts, perfect their personality. Modern Chinese reading is an important part of Chineseteaching. It’s through the whole process of Chinese subject and it’s the top priority of theChinese language teaching chain, not only it’s related to the level of the ability of reading, butalso it determines the success or failure of the Chinese teaching. And, increasingly modernChinese reading teaching is becoming the foundation and the bottleneck of variousdisciplines teaching, largely restricting and affecting each subject teaching effect and qualityeducation results. In view of this, in order to make clear of the current junior middle schoolstudents’ present situation of the modern reading teaching, the author got into junior highschool student crowd in class and after school, and designed two survey statistical tables tocarry out investigate and analyse.Through the investigation, he found that the modernChinese reading status quo is not optimistic for junior middle school students,the existingmain problems include: the students’ reading quantity is small, even students hardly have timeto read; the reading dimension is small, reading quality is not high; students pay less attentionto mining connotation, the efficiency of classroom reading is low, students lack consciousactivity, teachers’ guidance methods curing, the students ignore the overall reading, analyzesthis paper superficially; they lack deep thinking and clever design; teachers are lack of theteaching of reading effectiveness research.Through the investigation and analysis of causes of middle school students’ modernChinese reading, this paper tries to increase the reading quantity, improve teachers’ guide,strengthen effective studies of the students’ reading level and construct reasonable effectiveevaluation mechanism as a starting point and focus to provide the solutions. The solutionsinclud: guiding students to learn from class reading to outspreading; combining individualreading and the overall reading; stimulating the students’ interest in the reading. For Chineseteachers themselves, they should strengthen the preparations before class, understand thestudents’ reading the present situation; elaborately design the guide language and the whole teaching process; during the teaching process of reading, teachers and students should timelyhave a "thinking dialogue"; develop the students’ interpretation of individual character basedon the original work; pay attention to mining connotation, improve the ability of students’aesthetic taste and appreciation; guide students to make full use of various resources forreading activities. What’s more, this paper is focus on the reading evaluation mechanismestablishment and the consummation especially, on the innovation of the system, parents,students and professionals are widely guided to join in to protect all the reading measures tocarry out,here are several aspects of discussions.
