As youth workers, I came into contact with their families deformed, parents in caring for youngpeople with little education, lack of emotional communication a considerable number of them facedpsychological and academic issues. Starting from the work needs, it is necessary to understand thepsychological status of contemporary teenagers, especially the relations between urban and rural youngpeople’s self-esteem and family environment.. By results of the research and understanding present forschool education study, less study of family environment; For divorce,left vulnerable youth growthsuch as research,less of the comparative study of urban and rural youth; Single subjectstudy,multidisciplinary, integration such as psychology, sociology education and less to solve theproblem. Therefore, our study wants to discussion on contemporary young people’s self-esteem and bycomparison of family environment, understanding relationship between family environment and youthself-worth. In view of the current academic discussion on self-esteem for teenager and familyenvironment is less, this research attempts to town and country young people’s self-esteem, andqualitative relationship between family environment and analysis offer discussion. Author through thekey and general middle schools in Jixi city, young people’s sense of self-worth scale and familyenvironment scale, two statistical analysis of questionnaire data, household type, school type, such asgender, age, education level point of comparative analysis of self-esteem on adolescents in Jixi city, onthe family environment and qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of sense of self-worth. Forsolve the current predicament of education, of integrating social resources, shaping youth soundpsychological theory and practice sense.The main research foundFirst, on the sense of self-worth, town students are higher than rural students and difference in age,gender, school.Second, in a family environment scale, students of household and rural residence students have theirown advantages and disadvantages. Some targets under the influence of gender, school, age.(sometargets affected by the age, gender and age).Third, through the correlation analysis family environment factors in positive and negative factorsself worth.Fourth, family’s close relationship and environmental factors in urban and rural areas is aproportional to the overall sense of self-worth. However adolescents’ contradiction of urban and ruralareas and overall is a inverse to the overall sense of self-worth.Based on the above study has found, authors thought it can improve the teenager’s self-esteem throughthe family environment which makes the following advice: First, development of urbanizationdevelopment of scientific requirement, improve domestic external environment. Second specialattention to family education, improve the domestic environment. Third, pay attention to thepsychological health education in schools, offering mental health education course.
