With the continuous development of the economy in21st century, the employmentsituation in the United Kingdom has gradually changing: increasingly high demand forthe work position, work pace and frequency of transformation are also growing fast, aperson who has the high quality of professional level of training will be welcomed bythe society and enterprises. Under this employment situation, employees need to changetheir personal knowledge and professional skills constantly, in order to adapt to therising social demand of enterprises and the employers. Under this trend of time, theBritish vocational education as a big platform to cultivate a series of useful reform, suchas school form, curriculum, faculty development, quality control and funding ensurence.The employment issue of vocational school graduates has become a prominentsocial problems since the Chinese government attaches importance to the developmentof vocational education.The study of the British vocational education reform trends aretrying to provide some useful inspiration and reference for the development of Chinesevocational education. Therefore, starting from the "employment-oriented," carry out acomparative study to contribute to the reform of Chinese vocational education, in orderto ease the employment pressure and to make vocational education more conducive topromote the harmonious development of the whole society.The thesis is divided into four chapters: The first chapter is introduction, where theresearch purpose and study significance. The second Chapter is the reform trends ofBritish vocational education, which focuses on three aspects: the development andstatus of British vocational education; is the driving force of vocational educationreform; the reform trends of British vocational education. The third chapter will studythe revelation of China’s vocational education, mainly from the value-oriented schoolsystem and evaluation system. The fourth chapter is the last section, which includes theinnovation of this study, insufficient and the future research directions.
