With the development of the new curriculum reform,the teaching modes andteaching approaches are continuing to improve and update in classroom. Especially, theeffectiveness of classroom teaching is considered to be a serious problem at present.This is the reason that the current English teaching and the new curriculum reformteaching still exists many teaching philosophies and teaching modes which are notsuitable with each other in our country. Thus, the favorable way to improve and promotethe English teaching quality is to improve the effectiveness of English teaching.Firstly, this thesis is based on the theory of constructivism and task-based languageteaching. For one thing, according to the new curriculum reform philosophy andstandard, I use literature method, investigation method and experimental method to domy research. Then I put forward some strategies to improve the effectiveness ofclassroom teaching. For another, this thesis is based on the “261teaching model” in thisschool, to use teaching plan to instruct and help the students think actively andparticipate in the class actively, which give full play to students’ statues and students’initiative and creativity, and put the student-centered notion into effect. Exactly, it isconcerned about the students’ all-round development and cultivates the students’learning ability, cooperative spirit and practical ability. Consequently, the teachers’specialized knowledge and the students’ scores have the obvious improvement.Secondly, the author investigated students from their interest, learning motivation,group cooperative spirit and classroom involvement degree, then I statistics the data asthe pre-testing result and find out the current classroom teaching problems. At last, Icome up with some effective strategies in classroom teaching. Finally, this research demonstrates that the effectiveness of classroom teachingstrategies play a significant role to the current English teaching, and correspond to theteaching philosophies of student-centered and students’ comprehensive development.They are in favor of improving students’ marks, and are conducive to form students’learning autonomy and cooperative spirit.
