With the accelerated pace of information technology, using information technology to solve the problem has become a necessary basic capability in people’s daily lives, learning and working, and Information literacy has become an important part of personal accomplishment in the information society. In order to universalize primary and secondary’s information technology education and answer the challenges of the global information, our government helps to improve people’s information technology ability through various forms, of which setting up information technology required course is one important. Project-driven teaching is a quite ideal teaching method, which can improve students’knowledge and skills well when applied to information technology teaching, cultivate the ability of students to explore independently learning, collaborative learning, and upgrade analyzing problems and problem-solving and social-practicing ability. This study had used literature search, empirical teaching, interviews, questionnaires and other methods to explore the application of project-driven method in information technology teaching in junior middle school, put forward the explicit instructional design of this teaching method, describe the implementation steps of this method though specific cases, and finally discuss the teaching effectiveness of this method and some existing problems.This study consists of five parts: The first part is a brief analysis of the research background, research status, the meaning and methods of this research.The second part starts from theoretical foundation of project-driven pedagogy to analyze the theoretical basis of project-driven teaching and project-driven concepts and its mechanism.In the third part, there is a explanation of the instructional design of project-driven, including task segmentation to the teaching projects, application of drive rules and application steps of project-driven method.The fourth part expresses the practical application of project-driven teaching in junior middle school information technology teaching, consisting of the design of specific teaching practices, teaching contents analysis, teaching aims setting, learners’characteristics analysis, to implement designed lesson plans in the junior classes, analyze the results of teaching as well as implementing the teaching evaluation.The fifth part of this study is the conclusion of the summary.This article, with both theoretical explanations and teaching practice, expects to be able to assist the teaching of the information technology teachers at the front line...
