"Media violence" is a practical problem in social,many researchers in home and abroad always pay close attention to its impact on teenagers.Along with wide spread of mass media and rapid development of information technology,the relationship of media and teenagers becoming more and more closely and to a large extent affects on their behavior and social cognitive style. It is without doubt that mass media has brought a lot of benefit to the development of young people,but due to everything has two sides,its negative effects also began to appear.There are many teenagers prone to imitate media violence,besides,the behaviors of social moral anomie and irrational consumption are close contact to media violence.Based on the data of survey questionnaire,the research regarded Gerbner’s cultivation theory as the main theoretical assumption. Through text analysis and quantitative analysis of the content in media violence that teenagers contacted in order to discuss the cultivation impact of media violence upon young people.Combined to the variables of teenagers such as gender,age,grade,family factors and according to the media content that teenagers accessed and development status of it,the research put emphasis on frequency,motivation and media content preferences of television,movies and internet that teenagers contacted.Furthermore,the research analysis the quantity of media how to effect teenagers’ aggressive behavior,violence inclination,social cogniation and attitudes respectively,at the same time,exploring the correlation of these behaviors and accultuation effects of media violence. Finally,the research put forward several suggestions from the perspective of government,mass media and teenagers themselves not only for the purpose of guiding young people have able to use mass media resources correctly and grow healthy,but avoiding or reducing deviant behavior due to media violence content else.
