Study On The Current Situation And The Development Strategy Of Agro-Vocational Education In Jingzhou

In the new era, the ninth No.1document, Opinions on Promoting the Innovation of Agricultural Science and Technology to Steadily strengthen the Guarantee Capability of agriculture supply, has been publicized by the CPC Central Committee and State Council. In the document the development of agricultural science and technology is further spotlighted. With the rapid development of society, science and technology and adjustment of agricultural structure, the demands of agricultural production for various kinds of professional technical talents are higher and higher. It not only need the new peasants who have literacy and technology, but even more require primary and intermediate comprehensive agricultural skilled personnel. At present China’s agricultural and rural economy has entered a new stage of development, and agriculture has brought new opportunities for vocational education. Based on the current situation of Jingzhou vocational college of agriculture survey, analysis of the current vocational education in Jingzhou agricultural problems and analyze its causes, And then on the promotion of vocational education in Jingzhou agricultural development strategy.This paper is composed of five chapters.Chapter one and two, mainly on the historical and the current status of the agriculture vocational education at home and abroad, analyze the features of agro-vocational education development in Australia, Germany, United States and Japan, and the enlightenment to the development in China. Meanwhile the first two chapters also elaborate on the need and practical significance of the development of agricultural vocational education:(1) agro-vocational education is an effective way to the harmony of farmers’individual and rural development;(2) agro-vocational education is the power to advance the development of rural productivity;(3) agro-vocational education is favorable for relocation of the excess rural labor;(4) agro-vocational provides material foundation for socialist ideological and ethical progress.Chapter three, in terms of farmers, agro-vocational education school and agricultural technologists, analyzes the current situation and underlying problems in the system of agro-vocational education in Jingzhou via the scientific methods such as questionnaire survey and field interviews. The survey shows the problems of agro-vocational education system mainly exist in (1) attaching less importance to agro-vocational education, unreasonable distribution of resources.(2) less governmental input, shortage of educational funds and teaching conditions.(3) the poor overall qualification of teachers in vocational education school.(4) difficulties in enrollment and employment,(5) lack of rules and regulations in agro-vocational education and so on.Chapter four and five are aimed at finding out the solution to the problems restricting the development in agro-vocational development in Jingzhou; resolving the restriction in human resources in agro-vocational education in Jingzhou; advancing the settlement in issues concerning agriculture, countryside, and farmers.1. improve the awareness of developing agro-vocational education in Jingzhou;2. strengthen the leadership and support of agro-vocational education;3. increase the input into vocational education, advancing the teaching reform;4. improve the system of training and employment service;5. take the correspondent measures to motivate farmers’learning enthusiasm;6. speed up the setup process of vocational rules and regulations;7. establish the new notion of agro-vocational education. The fifth chapter sets out the main countermeasures to the development of agricultural vocational education in Jingzhou.
