The teaching of writing is important and also difficult in senior highschool’s Chinese lessons. However, high school students don’t obtainenough writing trainings, and the ways of teaching are not systematic.Students don’t have good writing skills, which means some of themcan’t fully understand the theme of an article; some write articlesempty of matter or false display of affection; and some can’t applydifferent sorts of writing techniques or colorful languages. On the otherhand, teachers are lack of effective teaching methods about ‘what toteach’ and ‘how to teach’. They don’t guide students to understand‘why we write’,‘what we write’ and ‘how we write’. This essay aims atthe study of phenomena and problems in high school writing lessons,trying to find out the cause of the problems. Based on training writingskills, I will put forward some ways to deal with those problems, such ascombining reading and writing; improving writing system or havingdifferent types of trainings, etc.Both Empirical research and theory analysis are used in this essay,which includes documents research, questionnaire survey, interviewand living examples analysis.
