Non-diploma education institutions play a more and more significant role in oursocial life, and in which those who teach varied subjects, as a large part of teachers,come into our field of vision. They have a great quantity of members; they sometimeshave multi-tasks; they always have rich experience; they tend to be more independent;they are called ’teachers’, but not affected by the traditional education system. Theprocess of their socialization is in line with the general laws of the development ofteachers’ career; meanwhile clearly shows its characteristics and individualities.This thesis mainly discusses the issue from the following two aspects. First,clarifying the related concepts and theories, including the intensions and exte nsions ofthe core concepts, the theory patterns of professional socialization of teachers, thedevelopment stages of teachers and influence factors. Making an attempt at findingmethods to help us analyze and understand what is happening from the previousresearch and universality. Second, related case interviews, including four keyinterviewees and several other teachers. Trying to present a picture of professionalsocialization of teachers in different types of non-diploma education institutionsoriginally as far as possible.
