The safety problems about left-behind children occur frequently in recent years, which is seriously threatening the health development of this special group. Construction of new socialist countryside has set a higher requirement for the security of the unattended children. Therefore, further research on the safety problems about left-behind children is urgently required.It’s well known that childhood is the most active and critical period for children to learn. The knowledge、abilities and consciousness get during this time will influence their lives. So, what hinder the progress of learning? How to step effectively in the promotion of left-behind children security problems and how to help them acquire skills?Research indicates that left-behind children safety problems caused by many external reasons such as school,family, the society and also psychological and physiological factors from themselves. This paper take the security development group "little saftey guards" as an example, go into the saftey problems of left-behind children with the group work method which contains vivid scene rehearsals、 interactive quizs、brainstorms,etc so that the left-behind children are able to identify the serious cases in daily life, build up security awareness and master some security skills.Studies show:1、it’s necessary to pay attention to the individual differences in the safety problems of left-behind children in rural areas.2、Introduction about the social learning theory contribute to the development of activities and increase of effects.3、 activities of the left-behind children safety group ought to take good advantage of the public school platform.4、activities of the left-behind children safety group ought to be widely developed in the rural area of less developed inland.5、activities of the left-behind children safety group are more suitable for junior students.On these basis, to discuss the establishment of "three in one"(family,school and government)mode which services to the safety of left-behind children and reflect from a multitude of prospectives. Group activities ought to pay special attention to cultivating the safety awareness of the left-behind children and help them keep away from danger fundamentally. The activity plans must be targeted and satisfied with the need of left-behind children. During the process, activities should be attractive and inclusive so that left-behind children want to learn the safety knowledge and skills positively. the activists must have patience and confidence to develop activities regularly and make good suggestions on the influencing factors, such as to establish and perfect the service system for left-behind children, strengthen the teaching system, practically increase the safety education in school, to broad the range of group activities and to enhance quantity and quality of talents in social work are also important, the time to undertake the activities would be better to set in the middle of a semester. The effect of group work service can be obviously seen in junior students. From various points and more angles to view the safety of left-behind children in order to help them to a greater extent, and it’s also great contribution to the native study of social work in this field.
