With the consistent advancement of modern science and techniques, Internet using has become the commonest channel for people to learn and work. Compared with the reading from print media, internet has brightened people’s eyes by providing a whole new reading mode. Apparently, middle school teenagers are the most frequent online readers. Therefore, the question of how to guide them to conduct their online reading without causing negative influences either mentally or physically has been paid attention to. During recent years, Chinese language educators have also been consistently thinking and exploring on the measures of taking online reading into the education process of Chinese language. Middle schools in certain areas, mostly high schools, have already set some Chinese reading related online courses. Some others are on the stage of design and running a platform to serve this purpose. However, since not a small amount of people are on design and piloting stage of this matter, certain problems emerged during these process. They are mainly from environment, human resources and finance. It enables some areas running a pilot platform or setting up the course whereas the proportion of middle school online readers is increasing gradually, which means certain guidance from teachers are necessary. For students from middle schools, they are going through a crucial stage for their physical and psychological development. Therefore, the sooner guidance about online reading from their teachers reaches the better cultivation on their Chinese language ability.This thesis includes three chapters. In the first one, the author introduced the present situation of online reading’s development and the application of online reading at home and abroad to the Chinese language courses. What’s more, the first chapter has also shown the train of thought about this specific study and the definitions of some relevant conceptions involved in this research. The main contents of second chapter are to describe and analyze the process and result of our research which is based on the theories of the integration of modern information technology and Chinese courses, and referred to the method of Psychology. Researcher has adopted the manners of survey and interview to investigate the situation about online reading among the junior high students in two middle schools in Chaoyang District and has tried to make the contents of the survey as comprehensive and concrete as possible. By making relevant statistical analyses on this survey, researcher trys to learn about the situation and problems of junior high students’online reading in details from various perspectives. The third chapter is to illustrate the relation between online reading and students’Chinese language ability under the guidance of Chinese Course Standard of Compulsory Education (2011version). Besides, the research has also discussed how to utilize the online reading to enhance students’Chinese language ability and then provided new methods for the development of the integration of regional information technology and Chinese courses. Meanwhile, writing the thesis is hoping that the efforts can render useful reference on the exploration of new teaching mode for other Chinese educators.
