The pupils learn Chinese characters has a huge potential energy. But if we want them to realize their full potential, the key is good teachers and effective teaching methods, which requires teachers in literacy teaching from the start of the relationship between Chinese character glyph, pronunciation, meaning, and use of scientific methods to teach them. When we’re in the process of Literacy teaching, we not only let the students know the meaning, but also let them know how to use. The learning of Chinese characters is not to meet the test, but through the process of learning Chinese characters to understanding the culture thoroughly, deeply and better communicate with others.In order to solve the problems in literacy teaching, the essay gives a brief analysis on the status of literacy teaching, starting from the practical problems of teachers in the teaching process to explore and analyze the reasons for these problems, trying to find a solution acceptable both by teachers and students.The thesis comprises three chapters; the first chapter is a brief overview of the various stage of literacy teaching standards and the summary of its status. The second chapter is about the problems existed in the teaching process and the reasons that caused the problem. The last chapter of this article put forward some ideas on language literacy teaching, such as in the literary teaching process, teachers should help students know how to establish the linkage between tone, form, meaning of Chinese character and the benefits of this kind of linkage in the process of student’s learning Chinese characters.
