With the development of knowledge-based economy, Market economyconstruction requires more talents, which not only brings new opportunities forprivate universities building in Hunan Province, but also requires a higher quality ofpersonnel training. However, Education quality problem explored in Hunan privateuniversities for a long term, including the quality of teaching, teachers, fundmanagement etc., has not been an effective solution. In recent years, total qualitymanagement theory and ISO9000quality management theory used in the enterpriseshave been gradually introduced into the education quality management, which providea new perspective and new approach for education quality management of the college.Therefore, this paper studying Hunan private universities, based on total qualitymanagement theory, ISO9000quality management theory and education managementtheory, deeply analyses the status quo and the problems about education qualitymanagement of Hunan private universities; through questionnaires, expert interviewsand multiple-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and other research methods,comprehensively evaluates the current education quality management level of Hunanprivate universities, including the quality of teaching, quality of students, teachers,fund management etc., and proposes appropriate solutions to provide policy referencefor promoting sustainable development of private universities.The results show that although the Hunan private universities is beginning totake shape, but there are still many education quality problems in the aspects ofteaching quality, student quality, faculty, fund management etc., for example specialtysetting is unreasonable, heavy name, light quality; library, laboratory and otherfacilities are deficient;students of poor quality and inappropriate admissions policies;faculty knowledge structure, job structure and age structure are also not reasonable;the single channel of education funds. The series of serious problems affect thequality of education improved. Through using multi-level fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation method, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation for teaching quality,student quality, faculty, fund management etc., find that Hunan private universitiescomprehensive level of education quality management is in a common state, but fromfirst level fuzzy evaluation results, we find the quality of teaching management andteachers team management is common, education fund management is bad, supervision of government and social supervision is good. Finally, put forwardcorresponding countermeasures for solving education quality management problemsof Hunan private universities.
