Medium-and-long-term outline of the reform and the development planning (2010-2020) in national education point out that we should accelerate the development of vocational education for rural and serve it as an important part of a new socialist countryside. Secondary vocational schools in rural areas are the important position for vocational education and it is also the key pillar of achieving agricultural industrialization, rural modernization and urbanization. To solve the problem of secondary vocational schools in rural areas and promote the development of secondary vocational schools in rural areas is the major task of secondary vocational schools in rural areas, and is also an important research subject that deserves discussion. So, the research on secondary vocational schools in rural areas is significant. This paper, based on the in-depth investigation and study of current situation of education in secondary vocational schools in rural areas in Zhuzhou County, found the hot potato of the school such as enrollment, educational resources, teaching, quality of personnel training and school characteristics, graduate employment and so on. That mainly has external causes and internal causes. On the one hand, It is the external causes that the main government support is not enough, and the traditional educational and cultural factors affected adversely and the development of vocational education environment is not ideal. On the other hand, the within includes one-sided pursuit of school size and the neglect of quality of teaching school improved, single school-running model, imperfect teachers management and occupational guidance. In order to get out of these difficulties, it needs the combination efforts of national, local government, parents and schools. Firstly, nation should amend the Vocational Education Law according to the development needs of vocational education, implement the vocational qualification system, strictly enforce the labor permit system, increase investment in rural vocational education, and realize the progressive introduction of free education in rural areas, expand the channel of vocational to higher. Secondly local governments should increase the support fund and ensure that investment increased year by year, reform enrollment system, ensure the reasonable diversion of the junior. Thirdly the parents should recognize and invest. Finally, the schools should innovate school system, expand the training approach, commit their social service functions, set reasonably the professional, improve teachers quality and strengthen the career and entrepreneurial guidance.
