At present China’s ideological and political education is undergoing a shift fromSubjectivity to Intersubjectivity and from monologue type to dialogue type, whichinevitably require the College Counselors to survive in the way of dialogue. At the same time,the College Counselors in China have also been from the existence of exogenousness ofsystem of "embedded" style originally to the way for developing of endogenousness whogradually integrates into higher education, so the dialogue survival of multiple subjectsinteracting is the inevitable choice.What makes dislogue more noticeable is that we know more about the complexity ofthe reality and limitations of individual ability. Dialogue provides counselors with a new wayof life, more adaptable to the world, more conscious, more skillful. Counselors being ofdialogue type, neither feel compelled to shoulder the burden alone, nor produce illusion thatthey think they can control anything. Dialogue can help the counselor to understand somenew and creative approaches, to avoid conventional practices, working painstakingly and nothaving time to think about other possible future. To slow down and think will have constantprogress and creaton.This article is divided into three parts. The first part is the basic theoretical research,which introduces what the concept of dialogue is, and proposes that dialogue is composed oftwo parts by the relationship and the understanding, that dialogue can be divided into fourtypes: conversation, exploration, debate and teaching. The practical skills of dialogue is alsoexplained especially, such as the setting-aside judgment, the setting-aside assumption,listening, questioning and thinking, non-verbal communication and so on, which becomes thetheoretical basis for following-up study. The second part is the applied researth of theory,focusing on interpretation the connotation of dialogue nature and dialogue type of CollegeCounselors’ dialogue survival, indicating that the features of College Counselors’ dialoguesurvival: equality, freedom, interaction, integration, building, creating, being inclusive,sharing and coexisting and so on. And then the necessity for college counselors’ dialoguesurvival is stated from several aspects, whose contents include the background of economicglobalization, market economy, social transformation and the diversity of the values, also thedevelopment of ideological and political education, building a harmonious campus, the newmedia age, college counselors’ professionalization and personal growth and development.What’s more, college counselors’ survival status and reasons are analysed, thus the dialoguetheory is introduced into the field of college counselors survival. The third part is the reseachof practical strategies, focusing on the principles of constructing counselor dialogue relationssystem, and proposing the construct for dialogue relations system, whose contents include the dialogue relations with students, with parents, with counselors colleagues, with teachers,with cadres, with leaders. At last, college counselors’ dialogue survival strategies arediscussed and concrete measures to solve the problem are put forward. The third chapter andthe fourth chapter are the core content of this article.
