Objective:Through our national team athletes, golf fitness research, understanding the basic physical characteristics of golf projects and laws of physical training for golf athletes and coaches to arrange the physical training of scientific and reasonable to provide a theoretical reference.Subjects and methods:to prepare for the2010Asian Games in China’s golf team studied12athletes, including seven male athletes, female athletes5. Through three-dimensional body scanners and other equipment before and after physical training athletes tested form, balance, reaction speed, core strength and stability, low back and wrist strength, as well as kick-off the average distance, and150yards from the batting average and other indicators of errors changes.Results:compared before and after golf specific physical training, our excellent golfer shape, balance, reaction speed, core strength and stability, low back and wrist strength, and the average distance No.1wood tee, hit6-iron average distance and the ball150yards errors and other indicators of differences in the physical fitness of the athletes and the special effects of physical training were assessed.Conclusion:1. The physical ability training and researches has become the core contents of the national golf team of China in their collective training sessions. The core body strength stability, back rotation strength, flexion and extension power of the muscles lying along the wrist, body balance, reaction time and other indicators have become the core of the training.2.The genetic factors may have the positive relationship with the balance ability showed in the golfers’on-one-foot time. The training have the limited effect on such relationship.3. The ability training of specific area can improve the reaction time largely, and the youngest teammate can react faster.4. Improvements of the players’core strength, stability, balance between the right and left parts of their body can be met after the specific-area-training, while the gap of core strength among the teammates can be decreased.5. After the specific training, the improvements of their rotation capability along the waist and back muscles can also be fulfilled to most of the players, and the gap of the maximum power among different players is no more than10%, which is the best situation. The female players need to strengthen their power while the male counterparts should pay attention to the balance training.6. The standards of flexion and extension of the muscles are highly needed for the golfers, which is the stronger, the better. The difference between the left and right side of the wrist part should be less than10%. The ratio of the strength of the extension and the flexion in the same part should be60-80%. Some female players should strengthen their balance between the right and left hands, between the flexion and extension muscles and the training of muscle power. The improvement of the extension power can not match the flexion muscle.7.The average distance of the golfers using NO.1wood and NO.6iron to open the ball increases significantly; the mistakes made within150yards’ distance decreases and the ratio of hitting the target area increases.
