Golf and golf culture has multiple meanings for present college students, at moment, golf has developed to a certain scale in Chinese colleges, however, not many researches have been conducted on the establishment of the organization and management model which is suitable for the development of Chinese college golf. Based on the knowledge of management sciences, this thesis applies mainly literature research and survey, studies the current status of the development, the organization and management of Chinese college golf, comes to conclusions as follows:1. Restricted by the lack of financial support, at present, many colleges do not have their own golf field or practice field, this can be clearly observed in economic less developed areas. In the short run, the number of professional golf trainers and teachers are insufficient; college golfers lack systematic training and solid basic skills before they receive golf training; currently there are not many golf games and participants, the level of competition is low and the scale of influence is small.2. In order to better promote and carry out golf in Chinese colleges, it is necessary to establish a non-profit golf managing institute. In order to solve the problem of "contradiction between study and training", which interferes the healthy development of Chinese sport in a long time, it is necessary to develop a new cultivation model of athletes. Golf has just become a game of Olympic Games and still in the early stage of development in China, thus, it is possible to cultivate high-level golfers through college system.3. The current management model of golf in Chinese colleges is "government leading and intervention model", the short-comings of this model are the over reliance on government, the unclear definition of functions, the unclear separation of resposibilities, uncoordinated internal transfer, the lack of sovereign in personnel, finance and assets. Therefore, it is necessary to set up an independent administrative institute which has standard management, clear responsibility, rights and interests, specified functions and high efficiency. 4. The nature and characteristics of future Chinese college golf committees are non-profit, independent sovereign and public welfare oriented. Its general goal is: promote golf and golf culture in colleges to help the overall development of students, cultivate college golfers, realize their balanced development through curiculum and professional athletic skills. This thesis proposes suggestions as follows:1. The construction of Chinese college golf committees should follow the principals of systematic, advanced, operationable and flexibility. The structure of Chinese college golf committees should be linear, its decision-making system should include administrative, decision-making and operation sub-systems.2. The structure of Chinese college golf committees should include several functional departments, which have clear job division. Strict regulations and standards should be set up in the committees to enhance the management.3. The responsibility, rights and interests between golf committees, the colleges and the FUSC should be divided clearly. The relationship between Chinese college golf committees and the concentration and allocation of rights between the committees and FUSC should be coordinated.
