Research On The Development Of Regional Universities

The sustainable development of regional higher education needs to effectivealliances of regional universities. Throughout domestic "Southwest UnitedUniversity","Nine-school Alliance"," Excellence Alliance", and foreign "IvyLeague","Russell Union School","Eight-school Union", etc, it is not difficultto find that the development of regional higher education is inseparable from theRegional University Union.Higher education ecological theory explains the relationship between highereducation and environment from the point of view of the individual and theenvironment. By literature reviewing the development of domestic and foreigncollege alliance, it found that the University Union has hierarchical and regionalcharacteristics. Based on the practice of domestic and foreign college alliance,this paper argued the necessity of regional university alliance in regional highereducation development from universities, urban and regional higher education view.In addition, Yong University Alliance has the theoretical and practicalfeasibility on the case background, policy basis, city and university demand. Fromthe previous research methods of Scholars used at the Higher Education Researchand Development Institute, it found that SWOT method is a widely and effectivemethod for the analysis of the regional development of higher education. Thisarticle explains Yong University Union from the internal strengths, internalvulnerable, external opportunities and external threats, outlines the SWOTregional map of Yong University Union, and then structures the initial SWOT matrix.In order to construct a complete SWOT matrix of Yong University Union, the thesisproposes four strategies to develop Yong University Union: using the internaladvantage-external opportunities strategy to realize teachers employment,credits recognition, books borrowed each other; improving the internal vulnerable-external opportunities strategy to completion of unique, out-effectiveness andbuilding level; concerning about the internal advantages-the external threatstrategy to achieve logistics service, network information and research together;eliminating the internal vulnerable-the external threat strategy to look forwardto the country policy, social power, colleges and universities self-help.
