| As an important content of the higher education, moral education plays a significant part in bringing up qualified personnel to have higher ideological and ethical level and to meet the needs of society. Nowadays, it has been one of the areas getting common concern of all the countries in the world. Due to the differences in political systems, economic systems, historical and cultural traditions, China and America have their own characteristics in moral education. Therefore, I mainly adopt the method of special comparison and select moral education in China and America as the research objects. In this article, I give attention to the common matters of both sides in moral education, thus promoting to assimilate their advantages, make up our own weaknesses, and carry forward our excellent traditions, and then promoting the development of the moral education in universities of our country. The article is divided into five chapters and four parts:The first chapter is the introduction section, which is mainly the brief explanation of research significance of the thesis, current situation of research at home and abroad, research content and method, innovation and deficiency.The second chapter is the section of theoretical explanation. This part is mainly to define the connotation, principle, scope of moral education by clarifying the concept of the great moral education, ideological and political education, and civic moral education.The third part, including the third, fourth and fifth chapters, is the focus of the paper, which is mainly summarize the common points and differences between two countries from three aspects:the goal of moral education, the content of moral education and the way of moral education, then provide some revelation to learn from. In the comparison of the goal, this paper points out that we must insist on right political direction of moral education, re-examine and re-determine the emphasis of moral education, and also explore actively the structured system of moral education. In the comparison of the content, this paper points out that we should strengthen the education of collective awareness, patriotism and civil rights and obligations. In the comparison of ways, this paper points out that we ought to build subjective mode of moral education, create a positive and healthy environment of moral education, and highlight the practicality and character of service.The fourth one is the conclusion part. I put forward some views on the theoretical and practical systems of moral education in universities which are based on my thinking about ideological and political education and thesis writing. The purpose is to arouse the interest and attention of the whole society on the development of moral education and promote the development of moral education in universities.In my opinion, the purpose of comparative study on moral education is not lying on the pure comparison, but the revelation and the promotion. And in the comparison, we should not only focus on the study of America’s successful experience, and the same attention should be drawn on our excellent traditions and experiences. That’s to say, the comparison and the study are mutual, which is the biggest value of this paper. Meanwhile, the society is processing and changing, so the conclusion is not static. We must broaden our horizon, and make our moral education get into the world. So we can learn more from others, and also we can show our success in moral education to other countries to promote the international development of moral education. |
