Since the reform and opening up, China’s educational horizons have continued to expand, and a lot of foreign education works and thought have rushed into our country, exerting a significant impact to our country’s educational theory and practice. As education practitioners, primary and secondary school teachers in China knew more foreign educators and their educational thought in the tide of learning from the western countries. Their concepts of education, educational activities and other aspects have been affected. Base on the background of reform and opening up, this study explored the influence of foreign educators on the groups of primary and secondary school teachers in China, so as to provide beneficial enlightenment on our primary and secondary school teachers’professional development, and contemporary education reform and innovation.This paper used the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, including questionnaire, homework analysis, interviews and case studies, etc. First, the researcher selected the most10influential foreign educators in primary and middle school teachers’mind through questionnaire. Because foreign educators needed to rely on a variety of media, especially educational works to spread their educational thought, and indirectly affect our country’s primary and secondary school teachers. The top ten influential foreign education works were also obtained through questionnaire. The results were used to prove the influence of foreign educators on primary and secondary school teachers groups. Through foreign educational works, the teachers knew more different foreign educators, accessed to more educational ideas, which had an effect on their professional development. This effect is mainly reflected in three aspects:The first was the impact on teachers’educational, teaching philosophy; the second was the impact on teachers’educational, teaching practices, and the third is the impact on teachers’educational researches.Through the study we knew that during the process of foreign educators influencing Chinese primary and secondary school teachers, there are following difficulties:1.Our primary and secondary school teachers’teaching pressure was so big that they had not enough time to learn foreign educators and their educational thought;2. Foreign educational theory was too much, and teachers didn’t know how to choose;3. Teachers’consciousness of professional development needed to ascend;4.Schools did not have a good theoretical learning environment, and teachers lack opportunities for educational theory training. So the article put forward four suggestions:1. Broaden the channels of communication, and make full use of various media;2. Enhance teachers’independent consciousness of professional development;3.Schools and communities create good learning atmosphere and provide opportunities for teachers;4. Strengthen the effective guidance of educational experts.
