Since the policy of Reform and Opening-up, floods of rural labors entering cities and coastal areas, the increase of population makes cities stressful and leads to so many social problems, such as health and education of migrant workers’ children. For example,there is still a gap between their physical education and the development of society; the household registration system limits the opportunity of migrant workers’ children as for having the same medical services as city children; educational level and low income of migrant workers also affect their children’s health. The peiod of childhood determines a person’s physical health:learning about the physical condition of school-age children is not only good for their growth, but also motivates the career of education, the harmony of society and the development of our country. This research, whose objets are school-age migrant workers’ children and city children, compares and analyses their physical condition, living habits, etc. The following are conclusions:1. There are evident differences in height and weight between school-age migrant workers’ children and city children in Ningbo. City children are generally higher and heavier; girls from migrant workers’ families get heavier more quickly than others; BMI value of cities’ school-age children is generally higher than that of migrant workers’ children.2. As for the comparison of physical health, migrant workers’ children have less lumbar muscle strength and speed than city children in Ningbo; there exists no evident difference between their explosive power of lower limb; differences of physical qualities are huger in boys rather than in girls.3. The rate of overweight of school-age migrant workers’children is a little higher than that of school-age city children in Ningbo, but there is no statistic difference; rates of overweight are at a high level in both of the two groups.4. The myopia rate of school-age city children is higher than that of school-age migrant workers’ children in Ningbo; rates of myopia are at a high level in both of the two groups.5. The frequence of exercise of school-age migrant workers’ children is fower than that of school-age city children in Ningbo. The former group has worse habits of health and medical treatment. 6. The diet habit of school-age city children is better than that of school-age migrant workers’ children in Ningbo; as for ingestion of food, city children ingest more frequently high-protein and high-fat food; vegetables they ingest are more varied. Dietary pattern of children of school-age children of migrant workers needs to be improved.
