Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,the CPC Central Committee has highly valued the inheritance of excellent traditional culture.Ideology and Politics,an important course in traditional Chinese culture education,is facing new challenges due to the introduction of the culture into textbooks.At the same time,the shortage of traditional culture education materials and the reform of materials and curriculum have put forward new requirements for teachers.Therefore,this research,focusing on Ideology and Politics teachers' developing and using Chinese traditional culture materials in high schools,aims to grasp the current situation and reveal the experience and problems.On this basis,this study analyzes the reasons and provides suggestions for teachers to better develop traditional cultural materials.This research constructs a framework from three dimensions: the types of traditional culture materials,the using path and the question design for the materials.To explore the ideas and causes behind the development and use of traditional materials,115 online classes in Shanghai and Beijing were analyzed and 13 senior high school Ideology and Politics teachers were interviewed.The results show that :(1)The teachers' use of traditional cultural materials is unsatisfactory.The types of traditional cultural materials used by teachers in the class are rich,but the quantity of different types of the materials is not balanced.In terms of the using path,teachers often choose the materials provided by textbooks,and the development of the materials is insufficient.As for the use effect,traditional cultural materials do not have high requirements on students' cognitive level;There are some commonalities in the use of traditional cultural materials in different textbooks while it is different on the whole.(2)Teachers' abilities to develop traditional cultural materials are uneven.The attention to traditional cultural content and the extent of material development among different teachers vary greatly(3)Teachers' awareness of material development,traditional cultural knowledge reserve,teaching methods,class schedule,textbook content,supporting resources and students' characteristics all restrict teachers' development and use of traditional cultural materials.Therefore,this research suggests that teachers themselves should consciously enhance traditional cultural literacy,take the initiative to explore high-quality materials and improve teaching methods.In terms of teacher education,the curriculum system of pre-service teacher education should include traditional culture,and in-service teacher training should be more multidimensional and multi-level.In terms of resource support,we should constantly optimize the textbooks,create high-quality cases,and form a researcher-teacher cooperative community.
