College Graduates are precious talent resources in national construction. As a result of college increased enrollment, the number of students in universities has jumped and the problem of students’ employment has become the social focus. The problem of students’ employment not only concerns the realization of personal value, but also concerns the stability of the society and the construction of the state. Currently, our country is now implementing a "market-oriented、government adjusted、school recommended and the two-way choice system" employment mechanism.The distribution of labor elements should be given a fuller play to the basic role of the market under the condition of Market Economy. By regulation through the market to reach the balance of supply and demand, realize the rational distribution of labor resources. Less government intervention doesn’t mean the government has no responsibility or leave graduates alone. It is an inescapable responsibility for goverment to solve the employment problem. The study of the goverment’s responsibility in graduate employment has important meanings for improving employment.This paper starts from a great deal of problems existing in our country’s graduate employment, points out that the absence of responsibility of goverment and analyses the causes of the absence. Based on the macro adjustment、service、supervision and legislation of government to analysis the responsibility of government and propose the appropriate countermeasure.
