Discipline is the carrier by which the university implemented personnel training, scientific research and social service. Discipline construction is the core work of the university. It is not only the important content of the construction and development of university, but also the main symbol of academic level university displaying or the main symbol of ability university running. Discipline construction has rich content, including multiple dimensions and elements. From the level of discipline construction, it includes key disciplines, general course and non advantage discipline or in accordance with the degree authorization, divides into first-level subjects and secondary subjects. In terms of the contents, it includes academic team, science research, infrastructure and so on. From the theory of subject construction it includes its theory system and the construction of academic norm.This article mainly aiming at the construction content of nursing discipline, which does not involve the academic research of nursing subject construction,discusses the present situation and the question which existed in scientific research, teaching staff, infrastructure construction and other aspects in nursing undergraduate colleges and universities of Shandong province, and proposes the solving strategy to the question.This study illustrates the subject, professions, discipline construction and other related concepts. Through information published by Shandong provincial website, Preliminary understanding of colleges of undergraduate nursing education with qualifications in number and distribution in Shandong province. Through questionnaires, we survey the nursing faculty, infrastructure, scientific research in colleges. According to the survey results, we found the problems existed in nursing undergraduate course colleges and universities of Shandong province such as lacking of independent subject consciousness, scale and quality imbalance, vague concept of discipline construction and insufficient of postgraduate education scale. There were discipline construction problem of insufficient number of teachers, structure unreasonable, weak scientific research strength, poor infrastructure, and so on.In the end, around the problems how to strengthen the nursing discipline-building measures and the direction of discipline construction, we carried out a systematic exposition, and the author think the following aspects of the work should pay attention to strengthen the nursing discipline-building:First, strengthening the teaching staff from two aspects. First of all, from the academy improve the teaching force management system and provide a platform and condition for teachers to improve education, fight for training. Be tilted to the general colleges and private colleges from the government in the selection system of the academic leaders. Second, Increase investment to build the discipline base. Discipline base is the main place of discipline construction and conditions, and build the discipline from the aspects of establishing the target of the bases, the management of special funds, the establishing of management system and strengthening of the supervision. Third, based on the current situation, strengthen research efforts. From different levels analyzed the academic research current situation and problems existed in the Shandong Province nursing undergraduate, and make the relevant recommendations. Fourth, must adjust structure, and actively develop high-level nursing personnel. According to different levels of each school in Shandong province, the situation such as the coexist of the nursing elite education and popular education, for many years the system of education and general education, graduate education and specialized education will be formed.
