Disciplines are the basic organizational structure for universities to achieve various functions.To improve the level of discipline development,both the government and universities have invested resources in discipline construction.Affected by subject evaluation and subject rankings,colleges and universities are leaning towards scientific research-centered subject construction in the allocation of educational resources.The quality of undergraduate training is affected by the unequal distribution of resources,and their living space and status are squeezed.Educational disciplines are the characteristic and advantageous disciplines of normal colleges and universities.They undertake the task of delivering high-quality professional talents to schools and cultural education institutions at all levels and across the country.Educational undergraduates are an important part of the training of talents in education disciplines in normal colleges.As education professionals,their professional competence is an important indicator of their quality.From the perspective of professional competence,studying the influence of the construction of education disciplines in normal colleges on the quality of undergraduate education has a very important practical significance for further strengthening the discipline construction of colleges and universities in China,improving the path of professional competence development of undergraduates,and improving the quality of undergraduate education.This article studies the connotation,structure and influence of subject construction and undergraduate training quality and professional competence,defines the core concepts of this article,and makes research design and research assumptions.Then,questionnaires were issued for undergraduate students of education in normal colleges as survey objects,and the data was collected and analyzed for questionnaires.The research hypotheses were verified,and countermeasures and suggestions were raised to improve the professional competence and quality of undergraduates.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the background and significance of the research,and constructs the research ideas and content of this article.The second part is a literature review,defining the core concepts of later analysis,and evaluating research trends.The third part is the research design,forming an index dimension,designing questionnaire,and testing the reliability and validity of the questionnaire content.The fourth part uses IBM SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical analysis tools to analyze the survey data.The fifth part is the research conclusions and countermeasures.The research conclusions showed undergraduate students of education in normal colleges did not have a deep understanding of the construction of this subject,but they had a better perception of each dimension and there were significant group differences.The undergraduates of education majors in normal colleges had a good overall perception of their professional abilities,with significant differences in some groups.The construction of the teacher team and the social reputation of the discipline in the construction of the education disciplines of normal colleges had a positive and significant impact on all dimensions of the professional competence of undergraduates.Resource investment construction had no significant impact on the three dimensions of undergraduate professional competence.According to the research conclusions,we propose countermeasures from the three levels of universities,students and governments.At the university level,colleges and universities should strengthen the construction of teachers and improve teachers' teaching ability;universities should actively transform the results of discipline construction into curriculum resources for undergraduate training;colleges and universities should conduct scientific positioning,rationally allocate discipline resources,create distinctive majors,and train students by category.At the student level,students should actively participate in theoretical learning and practice activities at the school to enhance professional identity;students should grasp opportunities for practice and internships to improve their ability to teach and practice.At the government level,the evaluation of discipline construction is to "separate from scientific research only" and create an atmosphere of research and teaching integration;increase funding for undergraduate education in the fund management system to achieve the use of funds and improve efficiency.The innovation embodied in this article:This paper investigates the status of discipline construction from the perspective of undergraduates,and reflects the concept of "life-oriented".This thesis fits the current trend of higher education quality evaluation and broadens the research horizon of discipline construction.Combining normal students and teachers' professional development,the paper has compiled the Survey Questionnaire on the Construction of Educational Disciplines and the Professional competence of Undergraduates in Normal Universities,and has innovated research methods.
