Localization Research Suggests That Teaching In The Primary School English Teaching

Along with the growing popularization and optimization of English in primary schools,and the constant deepening and development of quality education, the development of Primary English has ushered in a new historical period that from the traditional teaching methods to the methods which planed by the new curriculum. New teaching methods also made new demands on the Primary English Teaching. That is, pay great attention to the cultivation of students’ feelings, attitudes and values. While Suggestopedia advocated the principle such as pleasant but not tense, the combination of conscious and unconscious, implied interaction to a certain extent reflects the requirements of emotions teaching, which should be widely used in China’s primary English teaching.Suggestopedia is proposed by a Bulgarian clinical psychology who named Dr Lozanov in the nineteen sixties.Unique due to its special emphasis on psychological factors. It has achieved good results in foreign countries; however, due to the limitations of the application of immature technology, subjective and objective conditions, it hasn’t well developed in China. This article based on analyzing and summarizing the related theory study of domestic and foreign about Suggestopedia. And combined the relevant principles and techniques of Suggestopedia and with the current characteristics of primary school English teaching together.Designed an observation record form and interview outline, and then deep into the classroom teaching to find that it is necessary to look for a Suggestopedia with native characteristics. Finally-draw the following conclusions:(1) Suggestopedia has great relevance with the primary English teaching in China.(2)there has great feasibility and necessity for Suggestopedia used in primary school English Teaching.(3) Suggestopedia as an advanced teaching philosophy the effectiveness of it has been confirmed, but need to improve technology so as to localization.(4)There both have relevant points and a certain gap between the Suggestopedia and the primary English teaching in China, therefore it can bring new development for primary school English teaching after localization and absorption improvement.In conclusion if the primary English teachers can absorb the good sides of the Suggestopedia and improvement the bad aspects to reuse it can arouse students’ psychological potential. Stimulate students’ strong learning motivation, therefore, improving the efficiency of classroom teaching.
