The Measurement And Evaluation Of Motor Development Level Of3-4Years Infants

Objectives:According to the motor development characteristics of Chinese infants, this study tries to work out a motor developmental scale for3-4year old infants, and tries the best to make sure the structures and projects of the scale is suitable for evaluating the development level of Chinese children; this study makes statistical analysis of children motor development level in Jinhua region, and establish the evaluation standard for the infants’s motor development in Jinhua City; Analyze the influence factors on children’s motor development level in jinhua region.methods:this study determined the scale dimension and the scale item pool of "3-4year old children’s motor development scale" through literature review and data collection and practice investigation. Then identified"3-4years infants’motor development scale" reserve scale based on the result of repeated prediction test of203-4years infants.Then the study made an evaluation on207test objects by the reserve scale of "3-4years old children’s motor development scale". The study analyze the psychometrics indexes of’3-4years old children motor development scale",and determine the formal scale of"3-4years old children motor developmental scale"results:The measurement results of the psychometric indexes analysis.1). According to the statistical analysis of the scale’s discrimination, the result shows the CR (5.310～14.071)>3of each project of this scale, namely each project’s discrimination are good. According to the differentiate analysis of the scale, the results showed that the correlation coefficient between the score of each project and the scale total score is0.401-0.775,this proves that the14test projects has good differentiate.2)." The3-4years old children’s motor development scale" structure is basically consistent with the structure of international general motor developmental scale. After making a scale factor analysis of all projects, it was founded that the scale can be divided into three main factors, includes13projects.3). The overall Cronbach a coefficient of the scale is0.876, split half reli ability and test-retest reliability is separately0.900,0.939. The internal consisten cy coefficient test-retest coefficients and half coefficient are all above0.51.4). The validity percentage of most scale items is above75%. The analysis of correlation coefficient showes that there is a Medium low correlation between Test items and that have reached the significant level, and there is a higher correlation between each item and total scores.2. The formal scale was determined according to the psychometric indicators of"3-4year old children’s motor development level scale"3.The study establish the evaluation standard of "3-4year old children motor developmental scale" In regions of Jinhua.After converse the original points into0,1,2level3scores, we calculate the total score of the dimension and the scale. According to the movement development level analysis of207jinhua children’s, we establish the evaluation standard for3-4years children motor development scale in jinhua region.4. the influencing factors analysis of3-4children’s motor development levelInfant motor development level is raising along with age.3-4old infant motor development level does not exist significant gender differences. Put the environment of education, father’s education level, primary caregiver, father’s occupation, test total score for the variable partial correlation analysis with0.5years of age group as control variables, the results showed, except infant caregivers (r=0.060, P>0.05), the other factors such as educational environment, father the level of education, father’s occupation were significantly related to the scale scores (r=0.254, P=0; r=0.227, P-0.01; r=0.232, P=0.01).Conclusions:1."3-4year old children’s motor development level scale" basic structure:three dimensions (gross motor skills, fine motor skills, visual coordination movement ability),13test items (gross motor factor includes8projects in all,2 projects belong to the visual motion coordination factor,3items belong to fine motor facto).2."3-4year old children’s motor development level scale" has good psychometric indicators, can act as general measuring tools for3-4years infant motor development level.3."3-4year old children’s motor development level scale" is fit for using0.5years as the age group, with excellent, good, qualified, poor, backward five levels as basic level to build evaluation standard of Jinhua area3-4three year-old children’s motor development level.4.3-4years infant motor development level is not affected by sex,3-4years infant motor development level is influented by individual maturity. In addition to the internal influence factors,3-4years infant motor development level is influented also by the educational environment, parental education level, parental occupation and other external factors.
