The emergence and development of the internet-centered information network profoundly change human being’s production mode and life style as well as cultivate network culture of the information age. The network culture brings new changes, new characteristics and new trends to the survival and development of the ideological and moral teachers in the rural schools. Finding out the influence of network culture on the rural ideological and moral teachers’and clarifying the influence mechanism are of great importance to promoting the overall professional development of rural teachers.This thesis inspects the influence of network culture on rural teacher Mr. Jiang’s career development by adopting the narrative research method. First, through observing and interviewing Mr.Jiang, reading, reorganizing, analyzing and classifying the Mr.Jiang’s blog diaries about four life stories, that is "first as a teacher","I’m not fight alone","the event of losing money","the wild goose training project" and four network stories "teachers and students in the QQ","attaching to the educational blog"," network long-distance training","boundless study through’the net’", this thesis finds that the network culture has positive influence on the forming of educational faith, the mutual transformation between the hidden knowledge and the apparent knowledge, the developing of teaching reflection and the training of teaching abilities by the methods of category analysis and situation analysis. However, the network culture also has negative effect like shaking teacher Jiang’s authoritative position in education, weakening the self-development awareness as well as making teacher Jiang too dependent upon the network teaching resources so that affecting his professional development.Facing the influences of network culture on the rural teachers’professional development, the Education Department should fortifying the fundamental facility construction of rural schools, establishing the regional teaching research website and the education blog groups to encourage the rural teachers to participate in network training so as to strengthening their competence. The school administrators should create good campus network culture environment and build their own school websites. Teachers should shift their education thoughts, develop the idea of lifelong learning, learn to use network culture resources to communicate and cooperate with each other to achieve common development.
