"Overall development, develop individual character" is the theme of educationdevelopment in the future, and it is also the state’ s new requirements for sports educationwork in21st century. with the new curriculum reform deeply, education should face allstudents, and take the individual differences of the students into account to meet the needs ofthe students in different levels and interest, developing life-long physical consciousness.inorder to solve this urgent problem, our nation’s education workers have devoted themselvesinto the tide of the education reform.With the physical elective course’s farther development of reform in college. It hasmade remarkable progress in teaching theory, sports teaching method and pattern. At thesame time the right and effective setting of the students’ individual teaching goal hasimportant theoretical and practical significance on students’ individual and diversifiededucation, and it is also one of the key direction to most of the education workers.According to the reality of the physical education teaching, combining physicaleducation teaching methods’ constructing elements about its theoretical basis, teachingobjectives, teaching organization, teaching process and the teaching evaluation,and so on toselect,and combine with the rationality,feasibility and operability of the goal setting teachingmethods. In this study, the goal setting teaching methods as a starting point for colleges anduniversities to explore effective ways of teaching badminton in order to improve the optionsfor college teaching effectiveness. In this paper, the literature, experiment, survey, expertinterviews, statistics, logical analysis have been used. the Heihe College2010Badmintonoption class students as experimental subjects, and strictly apply the design elements in theteaching experiment, try to explore the use of goal setting teaching classes in collegebadminton option of sports courses in the degree of influence. Through the teachingexperiment, the conclusions are as follows:1.Applied to the goal setting teaching process of teaching badminton, take advantage oflearning differences among students to develop different teaching objectives, and the use oftimely feedback of learning, and effectively train the students interest and enthusiasm forbadminton, correct the learning attitude, learn basic skills of badminton and master solidfoundation.2.Goal setting teaching method can achieve better teaching results of the optimization, andmake full use of the students’ understanding of the teaching goal to participate in learning on their own.3.Goal setting Teaching method is superior than traditional teaching methods, and it is notsimply rely on the teachers’ teaching and guiding, helping students to develop thinking,constantly learning new targets and solving new problems,enhancing communicationbetween students, helping each other, sharing knowledge and skills.4.Goal setting teaching method make the teaching goals accepted by the students effectively,as the goal from easy to hard to set task, enhance students learning self-confidence, faceup to the students’ individual difference on learning, make every student get overalldevelopment.
