A Study On The Role Of Research University In The Regional Innovation System

With the continuous development of regionalization, regional innovation capability hasbecome an important factor to determine the regional economic development. In order toimprove the regional innovation capacity and promote regional development, various countriesare to accelerate the pace of building a regional innovation system. In the process of building aregional innovation system, various countries enhance the level of development and innovationcapacity of the University and make it play an important role in the regional innovation system.As an important part of higher education in China, important position of research universities inthe regional innovation system has been widely recognized and valued. According to ourcurrent state of development of the regional innovation system, strengthening the importantrole of Research University in regional innovation system is imperative. Therefore, the authoris to study the role of university research in the regional innovation system.In this study, the author will be engaged in theoretical and empirical research to role ofknowledge innovation and technology transfer from research universities and role of Scienceand Technology Park of University in the regional innovation system. Theory aspects of thisstudy, based on the clear meaning and structure of the regional innovation system, this studyclarify the meaning and development status and development trends and problems of researchuniversities and take scientific positioning of research universities in regional innovationsystem. The author will be engaged in Action mode of knowledge innovation and technologytransfer from research universities, Science and Technology Park of University. Empiricalaspects of this study，the author select research universities in the capital region as therepresentative. Using the linear regression, factor analysis, unit root verification analysismethods, author will be engaged in the important role of research universities in regionalinnovation system. On the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research, the study fullyaffirmed the irreplaceable role of research universities in regional innovation system and takecountermeasures to enhance the role of research universities in the regional innovation systemfrom government level, corporate level, the research university level and so on.This study is doing in the critical period of actively building a regional innovation systemand accelerating the pace of development of research universities, and the author hope that thestudy can produce a certain theoretical and practical significance. The study not only opens a new vision of the research university, but also enriches the content of regional innovationsystem. In addition, this study will produce guidance to Development of Research Universityand Development of the regional innovation system.
