Since the promulgation of the Law of Promoting Civilian-run Education, thenon-government funded education has experienced a rapid development and hasbecome one of the focal points in China’s education field. By means of researchingpapers, making questionnaires, visiting schools, interviewing experts and statisticalmethod, this thesis probes into researching PE education, the faculty in civilian-runprimary schools and elements that influence the PE education and its faculty. Theresearch results are as follows:1. Comparatively speaking, the privately-run primary schools have more PE classesand the course tends to be more standardized. At the same time, students havegreat interests in PE class with proper motives and attitudes.2. In privately-run primary schools, the implementation of standers for PE courseslacks effort; theory teaching classes have too much freedom and randomness;there is quite a wide gap between requirements and practices for PE course in thefollowing aspects such as the teaching goals, the teaching contents, the teachingmethods and the teaching assessments.3. The faculty in most privately-run primary schools is made up of young andmiddle-aged teachers that many of them are male, and lacks research ability. Quitea lot of teachers use the teaching plans for old time, and cannot make in timeadjustment and optimization for certain student and teaching goals. This, on alarge scale, has proved that parts of the PE teachers in privately-run primaryschools in Guangzhou are not responsible enough. Meanwhile, PE teachers havelow incomes and high pressures which impair their profession enthusiastic a lotand lead to mobility among teachers.4. There is a commonplace situation in Guangzhou privately-run schools thateducation fund is in shortage, and PE class equipment is below standards to caterto football class and PE learning.5. PE class is inferior to other courses. There is a to-be improved PE educationsystem which gets comparatively low attention from schools leaders. According to the above mentioned situation, the author of this thesis consideringthe practical situation of Guangzhou PE courses, has combined relevant educationpolicies and put forward countermeasures for a better development of PE courses inGuangzhou privately-run primary schools.
