The reform and development of teachers’ education gets widely concerned withknowledge of teachers’ specialization and advancement of Elementary-educationcurriculum reform. The significance of normal students’ pre-vocational schooleducation as a main channel of training teachers in the teachers’ education shouldn’tbe ignored which provides teachers with preparation for vocational education andhelp them to make preparations for the roles of being a teacher in this lifelongprofession. At present, as required in the market-oriented employment, the normalstudents from universities encounter increasing challenges. Thus, it arouses ameaningful discussion on the issue of teachers’ career planning and developmenteducation. Based on the above consideration, normal students in universities careerplanning education (CPE) is chosen as the subject of this research.Choosing the three different levels universities in Jiangxi as research objects andapplying the approaches of literature reviews, face-to-face interviews, questionnairesand surveys and observations, this thesis aims at the discovery of existing problems incareer planning education (CPE) of the normal students and exploring valuablestrategies to promote effectiveness of CPE in the three universities in hope of raisingits practical values.By analyzing the status of the school situation, the results of the interviews withadministrative staff and faculties, the data of questionnaires among normal studentsand the education literature analysis, the thesis has found out that there still remainmany urgent problems in CPE regardless of growing progress in CPE related work.These urgent problems can be summed up as follows:(1) the promotion of teachers’and normal students’ awareness of CPE;(2) the course establishment of CPE is notsystematic, nor characteristic nor effective;(3) the improvement of students’satisfaction due to the single form of CPE;(4) the teaching force of CPE isinsufficient at a comparatively lower professional level; teachers’ awareness of CPE isnot heightened;Attempting to solve these issues of CPE in the research universities in Jiangxi inhope of promoting its effective and practical values, the author pointed out thesolutions as follows:(1) to update teachers’ and normal students’ awareness of CPE;(2) to improve and upgrade the course curriculum of CPE;(3)to diversify the forms of CPE and promote students’ satisfaction;(4) to enhance teachers’ professional leveland increase the effective enforcement of CPE.
