Since1990s, higher normal schools, which always took the responsibility of training teachers, have faced up to challenge due to the reform of teachers training,"comprehensive universities and specialized teachers education" and "universities and colleges of pedagogies". To survive the challenge, most normal schools have theoretically and practically explored and studied modes of teacher’s education. In the latest decade,"X+X" in the undergraduate segment culture mode and postgraduate training model is becoming the main trends of the reform of the Higher Normal College. The former is not to increase the length of schooling, taken to improve the teaching content, reform the teaching methods, implement diversion cultivation and other measures, and reform the bachelor’s degree teacher training model; the latter is to extend the school system, to improve the academic upgrade master’s degree in training mode, give prominence to the innovative features of the teacher education model in the new era.Therefore, the paper focused on innovation of modes of teachers training and developed from analysis of modes to innovation enlightenment to analysis of function and motivation to thoughts and ideas of modes. Through case studies of modes used for education in higher normal schools, including "4+2","4+1+2","3+3","2+2","3+1","4+0", the paper concluded the mode "X+X" was favorable and practicable. Under the influence of the big trends of the reform of teacher education model, in the process of combing the analysis of the case, we get three points innovative features of teacher education model:the first one is the variability of training standards and levels; the second one is gradually merging of academy and teachers education; the third is based on the merging of theoretical teaching and practical operation to analysis the foundation and power to promote the innovation of teacher education model. The paper is based on analyzing the cases, summed up the past experience, to direct the motives and characteristics for model innovation, then presented the model of teacher education four elements:the educational ideas, training objectives, training process and create a pattern with the conditions for innovative teacher education model.As far as I’m concerned, what is the most important is how to train students to be high-quality teachers, rather than which is the best training mode. Each mode has its own strengths and weaknesses and each has its specific object. Thus, the destination of modes innovation of teachers training is to comply with the idea of life education so as to adapt to the trend of teachers training; to enrich courses and sources of teachers in normal schools; to merge cultivation of teachers and academy; to emphasize practices and optimize the structure of courses; to set up the system in which teachers will be trained before working and after working.
