For college students, career choice after graduation is a very important and critical decision. There are many factors that affect the career choices of college students. The objective factors that influence career choices in research is difficult to control, but it can be a disguised form through the study of human mental activity to control the subjective psychological factors in the choice of occupation, in which occupational value is one of the focus of psychologists and the occupational psychology instructors. But in a lot of research at home and abroad, people are not entirely in accordance with their own professional values to careers, there is an important factor in the selection process, self-efficacy, and a lot of research on social cognitive occupational theory is related to self-efficacy. This paper is based on an extension of more mature social cognitive occupational theory, do research on the relationship between the two variables of occupational self-efficacy and occupational value, and propose some reasonable suggestions and guidance on the career choices of college students.This thesis mainly divides into the introduction, literature review, research design, and analysis of empirical study, findings and recommendations in five parts. The introduction part mainly explains the research background, analysis to college students on their occupation values and self-efficacy for a correct understanding and the understanding for future occupation career development importance, proposed the study question, pointed out the significance of the research and research method. Literature review of the study involved in the social cognitive theory, occupation self-efficacy and occupation value research are reviewed and summarized, discuss their basic concept, the related theories and models were systematically summarized. On this basis, this paper explores the previous research on the deficiencies and defects, and provides reference for this research, and then put forward the research model and hypotheses. Study design part introduces the research ideas, research object, research issues and procedures, and describes the research used the questionnaire system. Data analysis using SPSS16.0for windows statistical software for occupation self-efficacy and occupation values questionnaire reliability and validity analysis of sample, and introduced briefly the study sample, the individual attribute to the occupation self-efficacy and occupation values influence, studies the relationship between the variables, the model proposed in the hypothesis for validation, draw statistical conclusions. The empirical results to discuss the part of the research results are discussed, summarized the main conclusion, analysis of some shortcomings, and give some suggestion for future research.In the empirical research, this paper selects the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan University, Sichuan Conservatory Of Music, Sichuan Normal University, Southwest University for Nationalities five university students as the object of study, the questionnaire of230copies, eventually confirmed180effective questionnaires, through to the questionnaire data were confirmatory factor analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis, we derive the following conclusion:1. The use of factor analysis to explore the occupation self-efficacy and occupation value structure:occupation self-efficacy dimensions refer to the Li Ashen college students career self-efficacy scale, the scale has a total of15questions, this study uses factor analysis to eliminate two less relevant questions, the final questionnaire to determine the13items, a total of four dimensions: Interpretation of confidence, perceived difficulty, overcome the obstacles and the results expected. Occupational value reference amendment of Holland Style Chinese Vocational Interest Measuring Scale by Wenquan Ling and other people in1999, it includes three dimensions:prestige factors, health factors, and developmental factors, a total of22questions.2. The personal property of the college students has a certain influence on occupational self-efficacy and occupational values, and this study is:gender factors result in significant differences on the individual dimensions of students’ occupational self-efficacy and occupational values. In each occupational self-efficacy factors, boys are significantly higher than girls on the level of confidence. In each occupational values factor, boys are higher than girls on the average of prestige factor and the development factor. But girls are higher than boys on the average of the health factors. The urban students are higher than the rural students on the level of confidence, but on the ability to overcome obstacles rural students are significantly higher than the urban students.3. The research based on sample data correlation analysis and regression analysis, draws the following conclusion:the students’ occupation self-efficacy and occupation values of the correlation between College Students’ occupation, self-efficacy on occupation values have certain effect, regression analysis further revealed that, university student occupation self-efficacy and college students’ occupation values there is a certain causal relationship between College Students’ occupation, self-efficacy of college students occupation values of each factor to the three factors have certain forecast.The contribution of this research is mainly in the following three aspects:1. Construction of the occupation self-efficacy and occupation values and the relationship between each dimension model.2. The use of empirical analysis on the occupation self-efficacy and occupation value of the relationship, and confirmed the occupation self-efficacy in each dimension and the occupation values between the positive correlation between, and a detailed analysis on the individual characteristic variables in occupation self-efficacy and occupation value in the relationship between the regulatory role, proved in terms of gender, professional students, the differences of the assumption.
