This paper summarizes the career self-efficacy, including the transforming of the theory of self-efficacy to the theory of career self-efficacy, its definition, measurement, and information sources. It also inquires the historical and present research of the career self-efficacy theory, from the aspects of measurement study, difference study, career-related behaviors study, and intervening study. Taking senior university students as subjects, the revised Occupational Self-efficacy Scale, the Career Consideration Scale, the simplified Career Interest Questionnaire as measuring instruments, the paper discuss the senior students' characteristics of career self-efficacy, the relationship among career self-efficacy, occupational interest, and the scope of occupational choices. The results indicate:1. Significant gender differences among male and female students regarding their career self-efficacy are found.2. There are great significant gender differences on the choice of traditional-female-dominated occupation and non.3. Great significant gender differences regarding the education self-efficacy are reported.4. There is significant positive co-relation on the self-efficacy and occupational scope of choices, which further influences on the co-relationship between career interest and occupational scope of choices.5. The career self-efficacy shows significant predictability on the occupational scope of choices among male and female senior students, and shows greater significant predictability on the occupational scope of choices with career interest, and even the gender factor.
