With the expansion of higher education and the continuous deeping of the teachingmanagement system and the personnel system reform in universities, the benefit of runninguniversities and performance management become the hot topics to which the peoplegenerally pay attention. Based on payments to the efficacy,this thesis takes S university forexample, analyzes its efficacy of staff compensation, and has a far-reaching significance tothe improvement of higher education efficacy and the personnel system reform.First of all, the thesis introduces the theoretical basis as well as the domestic andinternational research current situation.Combined with actual conditions of S university,the thesis establishes a evaluation index system about the efficacy of staff compensation.Secondly,based on a case study of S university, the thesis understands itscompensation situation and the salary structure by descriptive statistical analysis, and thenanalyses and studies the compensation efficacy of the university staffs from twoaspects.On the one side, the thesis chooses some typical output indexes and studies therelativity of these indexes and the staff compensation. On the other side, the thesis designsthe efficacy index to measure and quantizes the relative efficacy of the university staffcompensation on the basis of the evaluation index system.Finally, the thesis sums up the research conclusions and puts forward some referentialpolicy suggestions.
